The Voisin C7 was designed by Gabriel Voisin,
who was an aircraft designer whose company
supplied bombers to the French during the first
World War. The Voisin C7 features a four-cylinder,
1600cc engine which gave the car a top speed of
65 mph. The 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine drives
through a three speed overdrive gearbox, and the
specification includes servo-assisted brakes.

The top of the vehicle is narrower, reflecting
the mindset of "You need less room for your
head than for your arms." This C7 is an
example of the "lumineuse" body style,
which means open to light. World renown architect
Le Corbusier drove a C7 much like the one in our
collection, and often featured it in his
architectural drawings.
