The Cord L29 and the Ruxton were the first front wheel drive cars offered to the American public in 1929. The L29 is powered by a 125 Horsepower inline 8 cylinder Lycoming engine. The top speed is about 80 MPH. The car boasts a lovely styling as well as good handling. The original cost in 1929 was $3,000, with 4,400 cars sold. This type of body is called a “Brougham” and only 8 Broughams are known to have survived.
