We are excited to announce that our 1929 Tracta A will be heading to the Le Mans Classic this year! From June 29th to July 2nd, the Le Mans Classic hosts thousands of classic cars, with many having appeared in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. For the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, our Tracta A was invited to the event as it raced in the 1929 and 1930 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Our Tracta A has undergone a few processes in preparation for this historic event. First, we had to apply for a Historical Technical Passport (HTP) license from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). This document allows us to drive this car in historic motorsport events at FIA tracks, which the Le Mans Classic falls under.
We also had to perfect the car itself. For the Le Mans Classic, we have to make sure our Tracta A is as close to how it appeared in its 24 Hours of Le Mans races. The biggest thing we noticed is that our vehicle was missing the original windshield. Our restoration team created, manufactured and installed a historically-accurate windshield for our Tracta to use during its big race at the end of June.
Our Tracta A is now on its way to France to give it time to get to its destination and prepped for the event. We look forward to seeing our Tracta A at the event and on the track and will keep you updated on the results! For more information about the Le Mans Classic, visit https://www.lemansclassic.com/en/.
