The Audi Front 220 was Europe’s first production car to combine front-wheel drive with a six-cylinder engine. In production for just under two years it was replaced in 1935 by the Audi Front 225 featuring a larger 2241 cc engine. Built until April 1938 sales continued into 1939. From 1933 through 1939, the Front was the only volume production Audi. This is one of two known to exist and the only one known in North America. After a long search for a restorable car, our Audi was found outside of Lakeland, Florida where it sat rusting away for 50 years. A six year resurrection process by our highly skilled team produced the beautifully saved and historically significant work of art you see today.
